Mobile Privacy Policy

The Jefferson County Educational Service Center (JCESC) operates the Jefferson County Resource Network (JCRN) mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy informs you of our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data and the choices you have associated with that data.

This app is built on the Wix platform. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Health and Wellness Data (Mandatory Disclosure)

The JCRN app is a community resource directory and does not function as a health or fitness tracking application.

​

  • Data Collection: We do not access, collect, or store any health-related data. This includes, but is not limited to: health records, fitness activity (steps, exercise), body measurements, sleep patterns, nutrition, heart rate, weight, or wellness data.

  • Health Connect: Our app does not integrate with the Android Health Connect API or any other health-tracking SDKs.

​

  • Usage and Sharing: Because we do not collect health data, it is not used for any purpose, including personalization or analytics. We do not share health data with third parties.

  • Retention: As no health data is collected, no health data is retained in our systems.

Information Collection and Use

We collect personally identifiable information only when you voluntarily provide it.

​

  • "Add a Resource" Form: When users submit a request to list a business or organization (via this form), we collect the name, email address, phone number, and business details provided.

​

  • Account Information: Because this app utilizes the Wix platform, a default account system may be present. This stores basic authentication data (email/password) if you choose to create a profile.

Usage and Device Data

We collect information that your device sends whenever you visit our Service. This Usage Data includes:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address.

​

  • App version and pages/features visited within the app.

​

  • Time and date of visits and diagnostic logs.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party tools to facilitate our Service:​​

  • Infrastructure: Wix (Hosting and Account Management).

​

  • Analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. We do not sell your personal data.

Security and Cryptography

We handle all personal and sensitive user data securely. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using modern cryptography (HTTPS).​​​​

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal obligations.

Account Deletion Requirement

If you have created an account within the JCRN app, you have the right to request its deletion at any time.

  • In-App: You may initiate a deletion request within the app settings menu.

​

​

  • Outcome: Upon receiving a request, we will delete all associated personal data from our systems within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance.

Children's Privacy

The JCRN app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our servers.

 

 

​International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state or country (including the US, Ireland, and Israel) where data protection laws may differ. By using the app, you consent to these global transfers.

 

 

Platform Compliance

This policy is intended to comply with the developer program policies of both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, as well as applicable data protection laws in the United States.
