Description of Services
The Area Agency on Aging, Region 9 is part of the national aging services network. This network includes the U.S. Administration on Aging at the federal level, and the Ohio Department of Aging at the state level. AAA9 is one of the 12 Area Agencies on Aging in Ohio and 660 nationwide. As your local AAA, we are responsible for planning, coordinating and administering local, state and federally funded programs and services for older adults in our planning and service areas which includes Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas counties. Some of our programs include Assisted living, Caregiver Support and Education, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Home Choice, Long-Term Care Consultation, PASSPORT, Prescription Drug Assistance, Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), Sleep Well Program, Next Generation MyCare, and Veterans Directed Care program.
