Description of Services
The mission of the Ohio Valley Health Center is to "provide high-quality health care to low-income, uninsured and underinsured patients in the Ohio Valley, regardless of their ability to pay." OVHC provides primary care, onsite pharmacy services and referrals for specialty care, health screenings and vision care.
Located in Ohio's Appalachian Region, it is the only free clinic in Jefferson County and has provided over 23,000 patient encounters to more than 4,000 patients and over $6.5 million in free medications since its inception in 2006.
We are open to the public over 32 hours a week. The center cares for adults who face many obstacles in their everyday lives and attempts to provide an open, understanding primary care atmosphere that embraces the bio-psycho-social needs and concerns of each patient.
